Gymnastics and Physical Fitness Competition

Gymnastics Competition

Ground movement for Primary and Model Stage:

  • Trunk front-down bending and stretching with round-movement of the arms forming a crossing in front of the body.


  • Front ball-rolling to stand with a quarter left turn with swinging of the arms and front down turning and crossing of them.


  • Front swinging of the right leg to stand on the two hands and stand still for 2 seconds and front rolling to stand.


  • Right step and thrusting with it while arms are high (trunk turning while arms down on sides from the left side with the left leg tight close to the right leg by the end of turning, changing direction by half turn to the left).


  • High jump with front rolling and flipping (handspring) at the end of compulsory routine..


  • Player performs the optional (if any).


The Pony or Box for Primary and Model Schools

  • Required jumps in the competition are:
    Straddle
    Through Jumping
    Handspring


  • The player chooses one jump to perform either on the pony or the split box. The player is assessed on the basis of the complexity of the move and the nature of the set.


  • The Directorate will issue a detailed bulletin showing the scales of degree of complexity.


Ground Movements for Preparatory Stage

  • Running for two steps to make a wheel with quarter turning (Round Off)


  • Back rolling, hands standing and then standing


  • Half turning and half back rolling to make flipping with shoulders open to stand (shoulder spring)


  • A step to make front balance on the left leg


  • A step by the left leg and then a turn ending on one leg and front rolling in the direction of the wheel and then jumping and changing the direction to the left and three quarters of a turning with both arms raised high in the front and crossed and open jumping touching the upper feet and running 3 steps to make a flip on both hands to land on both legs (handspring).


  • High jumping and front rolling and then headspring at the end of compulsory routine.


  • Player performs the optional if any.


Split Box for Preparatory Stage

  • Required jumps in the game
    Straddle
    Through Jump
    Handspring


  • Box in length or width
    Player performs the jump that suits him/her and he/she is assessed on the basis of the complexity of that jump.
    The Directorate issues a detailed bulletin showing the scales of degree of complexity.


  • Terms and Conditions
    • Every primary school has the right to participate in one team and for preparatory stage at least one team. The team consists of 6 players maximum and the scores of the best 5 players on each set shall be counted to determine the rank of the teams competition.


    • Primary Stage: Student’s age shall not be more than 12 years.


    • The results of the individual competition shall be counted by adding the scores of each player individually in all sets.


    • Every player shall perform the required skills on all sets.


    • The team whose members are less than five or none of the five players participated on any set, the participation of this team shall be deemed individual and it will not have team ranking.


    • A detailed bulletin showing physical tests and the movement routine of the Gymnastics sets along with players registration forms will be sent later and well before the competition. So it is hoped that preparations will be underway to choose and train a team and sign the medical checkup of the team.




Physical Fitness for the Three Stages

All physical fitness tests shall be performed by the player, and if the player misses any of these tests, the results this player achieves in the competition shall be cancelled and he/she will have no right to continue in the competition and hence the overall score of this player will not be added to the scores of his team. A special detailed bulletin will be sent later.

Table Tennis Competition

  • A separate competition shall be organized for each educational stage.


  • Every school has the right to participate with one team of 5 players (3 regular + 2 reserves).


  • The results of each school will be computed according to the matches with other schools, and the result is determined if one school wins another school in two matches of three (the third match is played only in case of a tie).


  • Every team supervisor has the right to participate in every meeting with 3 players from the registered five players.


  • The player whose name is called upon to start a match, shall make himself/herself available in the playing site in two minutes from the time he/she was summoned; otherwise he/she will be deemed withdrawn.


  • A special detailed bulletin about the competition will be sent later.


Fencing

  • Every school has the right to participate in one team of 3 players and one reserve player.


  • Participants shall wear the special shield uniform and bring all the game items: weapon, gloves, mask (for schools that have these items in custody).


  • The physical education teacher shall get these items at the playing site (for those schools that haven’t received these items in advance), the teacher undertakes to return these items to the Directorate after the competition.


  • The international law of the game applies in managing the matches in preparatory and final rounds.
